My perspective on home appliances is built on a foundation of rigorous engineering and global industrial management.

  • Engineering Roots: I earned my B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kozhikode. This training allows me to look past the shiny plastic exterior of an appliance and evaluate its motor quality, thermal efficiency, and structural durability.
  • Management Excellence: I hold a Post Graduate degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
  • Professional Membership: Granted membership to the British Institute of Management (MBIM) in the 1980s.
  • Global Leadership: I spent many years in Dubai serving as the General Manager for a major group of companies. Managing large-scale operations taught me the importance of reliability, service networks, and long-term value for money.

Meeting History: A Glimpse into the Past

My work often involved demonstrating complex safety technology to high-level officials. Below is a photograph from our exhibition in 1982, where I was explaining the mechanics of Fire Entry Suits to Sheik Hasher of Dubai. These suits are designed to protect firemen to enter into a fire, such as to close a valve surrounded by fire in a oil refinery.

After retiring, I noticed that the Indian home appliance market was becoming flooded with complex technology—Inverters, TrueSteam, HEPA filters, and BLDC motors. Most consumers were being "oversold" features they didn't need or "undersold" on build quality.

AchaHome is my way of giving back. I use my engineering background to:
